Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Long Term Review

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has been in our pockets for more than six months. Here is a long-term look at how it holds up.

Design: Titanium and the Flat Display

Samsung finally abandoned curved displays, introducing a completely flat 6.8-inch screen.

  • The flat display makes using the S-Pen much easier around the edges.
  • The new titanium frame is highly scratch-resistant and provides a solid premium grip.
  • The anti-reflective screen coating is a game-changer; it dramatically reduces glare outdoors.

Performance and AI Features

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, performance is flawless.

  • Circle to Search has become a daily habit for quick lookups.
  • Live Translate works surprisingly well for simple calls.
  • Heat management is solid; the enlarged vapor chamber keeps the phone cool during heavy workloads.

Camera System

While Samsung swapped the 10x optical zoom for a 5x 50MP sensor, the results are actually better:

  • The 5x photos are sharper under low-light conditions due to a larger sensor.
  • 8K video capture at 30fps is exceptionally smooth.

Verdict

It remains the undisputed king of Android productivity. If you have the budget, this is the most complete smartphone you can buy.
